National Education Day was observed in Swami Dhananjoy Das Kathia Baba Mission College on November 10th, on account of November 11th being a holiday. All the students also attended the program.
The program started at approximately 12:30 p.m. with Dr. Anindita B. Kusari, faculty of the Department of Political Science, serenading the starting of the event with her song.
It was followed by the Vice Principal Dr. Aparijita Modak’s speech on the importance of the day and the present scenario of higher education with special emphasis on the future prospects of students.
Then the students from 3rd semester performed recitations in honor of the day, which was followed by a speech, by Dr. Anindita B. Kusari on the values of our education system & the nature of education in itself.
The program was hosted by students of 3rd semester. The students of the 1st semester delivered speech on the history and background of National Education Day. 3rd semester students also shared their opinion on the differences and similarities of Higher Secondary level Education and College level Education.
The program was concluded with a dance performance by the students of 3rd and 1st semester.
