Shri NimbarkaJayanti is annually observed on Kartik Purnimaon, the Advent Day of Shri Nimbarkacharya.Nimbarkacharya also known as Nimbarka, Nimbaditya or Niyamananda was a Hindu philosopher, theologian and the Chief Proponent of the theology of Dvaitadvaita (Dualistic-non Dualistic). He played a major role in spreading the worship of the divine couple Radha and Krishna and founded Nimbarka Sampradaya,one of the four main traditions of Hindu sect Vaishnavism.
8th November 2022, Tuesday,NimbarkaJayanti was celebrated in the college. The Program commenced with Guru Vandana by Kakali Bhattacharjee, Headmistress, Swami Dhananjoy Das Kathia Baba Mission School followed by lighting of the lamp by Dr. Dilip Nath, Principal of the college.Then all the students and teachers offered flowers to the lotus feet of Saint Nimbarka. Dr.AparajitaModak, Vice Principal of the college introduced the essence of the Nimbarka Jayanti. The faculty members viz.,Dr. Sadhan Das, Dr. Chandana Nath and Shri. Amalesh Ranjan Chakraborty expressed their views on Nimbarka philosophy and its importance on world peace. Mridula Roy, student of English Department mentioned about the life and work of Nimbarkacharya. Dr. Dilip Nath, Principal of the college elaborated the life, doctrine, theology and philosophy of the Great Guru Nimbarkacharya. The program ended with vote of thanks proposed by Dr. AparajitaModak, Vice Principal.
